Newsday: Threats against LI schools rise after Parkland shooting

The number of threats made against Long Island schools have surged this year.
Police in Nassau County and Suffolk County have responded to 275 threats so far this year, according to Newsday.
More than 130 of those threats came in the days after the Parkland school shooting.
Officials attribute the jump to a heightened awareness since the massacre.
The majority of the threats have not resulted in charges and some have proved to be unfounded.
