East End: Shellfisher Preserve

SOUTHOLD -

The Shellfisher Preserve in Southold is a farm that grows not produce, but shellfish.

The property was once a private oyster company. It's now owned by the nonprofit Peconic Land Trust, and several companies operate out of the shellfish hatchery.
