Yonkers distillery brings taste of Morocco to its drinks

One distillery in Yonkers is bringing the taste of Morocco to its signature drinks.
David and Dorit Nahmias own the Nahmias Et Fils distillery on Saw Mill River Road. Figs are fermented into the alcohol to add touches of Nahmias' native country.
The drink mahia dates back centuries in Morocco, and the distillation process takes up to eight hours.
"We are the only distillery in the United States that is making mahia," Nahmias says.
