Man accused of drunken driving, assaulting trooper

AMITYVILLE -

An Amityville man is accused drunken driving and assaulting a state trooper and a nurse.

State police say Michael Jennings became combative during a medical evaluation at NUMC Saturday.

They say he attacked the trooper and a nurse and tried to steal a Taser.

The trooper and nurse were treated for minor injuries.
