Seven people have been charged with distributing powder cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin mainly in Brookhaven and on the East End, District Attorney Tim Sini announced Saturday.
According to Sini and Suffolk police, search warrants conducted at four locations resulted in the seizure of approximately $362,000 in cash, four handguns, 3,250 grams of cocaine, 475 grams of heroin, 400 grams of crack and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug sales – including a kilo press, cutting agents, packaging and scales.
Officials say the main stash house was located in Middle Island at 27 Wilson Ave.
Authorities say the drugs repeatedly made their way from Elius Ovalles, of the Bronx, to Michael Fearon, the main supplier on Long Island and a three-time felon.
Sini called it a "multimillion-dollar distribution network" that was connected to overdoses in Suffolk County. He said the investigation into the network is not over.
Fearon was charged with operating as a major trafficker and faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted. He will be arraigned Sunday.
