Nearly 80 percent of flights canceled at Newark Liberty due to weather

Nearly 80 percent of flights at Newark Liberty International Airport were canceled Wednesday as New Jersey deals with its fourth winter storm in three weeks.
Officials say that despite the cancellations, the airport remained open for business as of Wednesday afternoon. Crews were out clearing snow off the various runways.
Airport employees were on hand to help any stranded travelers work out their flight plans
Travelers are urged to check with their flight carriers regarding the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
