Buses, ferries and airport services canceled as nor'easter hits LI
Several transportation services have been canceled for Wednesday due to dangerous weather conditions.
Suffolk County Transit canceled all bus service for Wednesday.
Nassau Inter-County Express Bus said via Twitter that while road conditions are slick, it is still operating all of its routes, but with delays.
The Hampton Jitney suspended all service and said Thursday morning service may be affected.
Fire Island Ferry Services, the Port Jefferson ferry to Connecticut and several boats out of Orient were also canceled.
All Long Island Rail Road lines are on a regular weekday schedule with some delays and cancellations, including multiple evening trains from Penn Station. More information can be found at MTA.info and the LIRR Twitter page.
All morning and afternoon departures at Long Island MacArthur Airport, except for a handful of flights, were canceled.
A little after 2 p.m. LaGuardia Airport said it canceled all remaining flights for the day.
By the afternoon, 644 flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport were canceled.
The Justin Timberlake concert Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden has also been postponed due to the weather. Timberlake himself posted a video to Twitter apologizing for the postponement. Thursday night's show is expected to go on as scheduled.
