Westbury man accused of hitting 2 people in fight over parking space

Police say fight over a parking space in Mineola ended when an driver intentionally hit two people.

Police say Anthony Scott was double parked on Jericho Turnpike near Mineola Boulevard just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, Scott started arguing with several people over a parking space and as they were walking towards the sidewalk, he intentionally hit two of them.

Police say Scott ran over a woman's legs and knocked a man off his hood injuring his head.
Scott now faces assault and drug charges.

The victims are expected to survive.
