New Milford was among several towns in western Connecticut to revel in St. Patrick's Day Saturday.
Crowds took in Irish songs from the Wildcat Creek Band and performances from the McArdle Dance School to bring a taste of the Emerald Isle to Connecticut.
Meanwhile, restaurants and bars geared up for large crowds flowing in and out.
The Abbey Restaurant is amidst days of celebrating the Irish holiday inside their establishment. Restaurant owner Frances McCabe, sporting a kilt, knows the workload will be tough, but rewarding.
"I'm going be so busy today," says McCabe. "But it's great, if I wasn't busy I would be crying."
