2 FDNY firefighters among 7 killed in Iraq helicopter crash

Two FDNY firefighters were among seven service members killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq.
FDNY officials announced Friday that Lt. Christopher Raguso and fire marshal Christopher "Tripp" Zanetis were among the dead in the helicopter crash.
"They are truly two of New York City’s bravest – running into danger to protect and defend others, both in our city and in combat overseas. " Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a tweet.
The Pentagon has not released much information about the crash, but says the helicopter crashed in western Iraq, killing seven on board. The United States military chopper was used by the Air Force for combat search-and-rescue missions.
Officials say the crash does not appear to be the result of enemy activity, but the cause is still under investigation. They say the chopper was in transit from one location to another when it crashed Thursday afternoon.
Officials say a second helicopter escorting the downed chopper reported the crash.
President Donald Trump tweeted about the crash, saying "their sacrifice in service to our country will never be forgotten."
