Suspect identified in Great Neck police involved shooting

GREAT NECK -

Police have released the identity of the man who attacked other drivers during a road rage incident in Great Neck.

Police say Michael Delloyd Ward, of Maryland, is the man who attacked two drivers with a bat on Bayview Avenue and East Shore Road Monday.

A rookie Nassau officer used his Taser, but says Ward kept coming. The officer then shot and killed him.

The NYPD says earlier that day, the 46-year-old carjacked two vehicles in Manhattan and struck and killed a pedestrian in Brooklyn.
