South Shore residents fear flooding ahead of storm

LINDENHURST -

Residents who live on the South Shore say they are concerned about flooding ahead of another storm set to arrive early Tuesday morning.

On Arctic Street in Lindenhurst, residents say they have been dealing with flooding for weeks.

Although all of the houses are located on the water, residents don’t have to do much in terms of storm preparation because most of the homes have already been raised a few feet off the ground.

Neighbors say they do have to worry about their cars if it floods.

One woman who lives on the water told News 12 that she brought her cars inland for the last two storms and she might have to do the same for this storm.
