Winter storm leads to flight cancellations at NY area airports

NEW YORK -

Today's winter storm stifled air travel into and out of Long Island and Queens today.

Both John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport tweeted that 60 percent of their flights were canceled. They urged customers to confirm their flight status before heading out.

Flights were also disrupted at MacArthur Airport.
