Just when you thought it might be over, Long Island residents will have to endure at least one more wintry event this season – the second since Friday's nor'easter.
Linda Drum, of Jericho, and many outside the Plainview ShopRite told News 12 Long Island that they were not too concerned about Wednesday's impending storm.
"I'm just doing my regular food shopping, and I never fail to be surprised by the crowds that come with a few inches of snow. Like we're going to be locked in for six months," said Drum.
Todd Kirscher, the manager at Trio Hardware in Plainview, said they had some customers buying shovels and ice melt. In all, he said there was "not too much of a rush for anything winter-good-related."
John Karnay, of Hickville, and his wife said they're retired so they were just planning to wait out the storm at home.
"I know a feller that has a plow and a snowblower, and he comes and plows me out," he said. "I'll go out the next day."
