Diners at Bay Shore restaurant evacuated due to flooding

Diners at a Bay Shore restaurant were trapped by the tide overnight due to flooding.
High water vehicles traveled through to rescue customers at Whalers on Maple Avenue.
One man was inside the restaurant celebrating his 60th birthday.
He says it's a night he'll never forget.
"Next thing you know we ordered dinner and they're like, you might want to evacuate and take your food with you because the flood's coming up and we were watching cars get stuck in and out of the parking lot.  And finally they said listen, no one can get out," says John Syrett.
Officials say no one was hurt.
