A train slammed into a car in East Northport early Saturday morning.

It happened just after 2 a.m. by the East Northport train station near Town Line Road.

The victim has been identified as Elizabeth Gallagher of East Patchogue.

The Daily News says the 29-year-old teacher lost control of her car and crashed down an embankment onto the tracks.

News 12 is told she was thrown from her car and died at the scene.
