Storm sparks flooding concerns for coastal neighborhoods

Flooding and strong winds remain a concern after a nor'easter buffeted Long Island Friday.
The storm pounded both the North and South shores, leaving neighborhoods flooded and knocking out trees and power lines.
In Oakdale, where the storm almost turned roads into rivers and lawns into lakes, crews began work cleaning up floodwater around 5:30 a.m., officials say.
At least two cars got stuck in floodwater on Shore Drive. Flooding was so bad on Connetquot Road that Islip Town officials say they had to return for a second round of pumping.
Forecasters say coastal flooding could remain a problem until early Sunday morning.
