Scarsdale resident opens B&B in Catskills

A Westchester resident traded in his life in the affluent suburbs to open up a bed and breakfast in the Catskills.
With a passion for locally grown food, Phil DiFalco is two months into being owner and head chef at Jessie's Harvest House in the tiny mountain village of Tannersville, about 115 miles north of his native Scarsdale.

DiFalco says he loves the area and used to visit the Catskills as a child with his father.
He met his wife Sarah, a born and raised mountain girl, who convinced him to open Jessie's. They even decided to marry under an apple tree behind their restaurant.
DiFalco said the inspiration behind the restaurant was his grandmother, Jessie. He even included her meatball recipe on the menu.
