New resolution calls for rate increases of Belmar lifeguards

The mayor of Belmar, as well as the city council, have voted to let current lifeguard managers go and search for new directors and supervisors.
Mayor Matt Doherty says too many lifeguard stands were left unattended over the summer.
Doherty blames the situation on management.
The resolution also calls for a rate increase for lifeguards from $8.50 an hour to $10 an hour.
