Police say a driver has been arrested for driving the wrong way on the Northern State Parkway in Westbury this morning.

According to police, Javier Herrera, 30, of Brooklyn, was operating a truck westbound in the eastbound lanes on the parkway east of exit 32. That is when Herrera’s vehicle struck two other cars, causing one of the involved occupants to suffer a fractured leg.

Police say the other occupants who were involved in the crash were not injured.

Herrera was arrested on charges including DWI, resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operator, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
