Teen accused of firing gun on Garden City streets

GARDEN CITY -

A Uniondale teen is facing weapons charges after allegedly firing a semi-automatic gun on the streets in Garden City.

Police say they arrested Akeem Chambers, 16, after responding to a call for shots fired around 2 a.m. Sunday on Stewart Avenue.

Officers say they found Chambers running from the scene with a semi-automatic handgun in his backpack.

There are no reports of anyone hurt.
