A reported MS-13 king pin, cited in a 21-count Nassau indictment, is now being held in a Maryland jail.
Officials say Miguel Angel Corea Diaz is facing felony drug charges in the state.
Newsday is reporting that Diaz is accused of leading the East Coast operations for MS-13.
Citing court documents, Diaz allegedly carried out drug trafficking and conspired on Long Island to commit murder.
