A Norwalk woman says she had the bachelorette party of a lifetime after her friends surprised her with a chance to celebrate on the Rachael Ray Show.

Leigh Ann Lengyel says her friends tricked her into taking a day off from work to see a taping of the show, which airs on ABC.

But without her knowledge, the friends and the show's organizers planned a whole segment around her.

"They scared the death out of me," Lengyel says. "They came from two different directions. So as soon as I saw the first ones, I couldn't believe it."

The women were called on stage and wined and dined in front of the studio audience.

Lengyel says she met her fiance Brian in 200. They were friends for years before their relationship developed romantically. Their wedding date is March 24 in Westport.
