Jury selection began Thursday in the case against Kyle Navin, who faces murder charges in the 2015 deaths of both of his parents.
Prosecutors accuse him of killing Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin after they threatened to take him out of their wills.
Navin rejected a plea deal last month that would have capped his prison sentence at 60 years. If convicted, he faces the possibility of life in prison without the chance of parole.
Police say he shot his parents and dumped their bodies in the woods of Weston back in 2015 in an attempt to get their money to feed a drug addiction.
Navin's girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution. She agreed to eight years in prison.
The trial is scheduled to begin on April 17.
