Police: Driver at large after fleeing police, causing Copiague crash

A police-chase in Copiague led to a fiery two-car crash Wednesday evening.
Police say they were trying to stop a driver in a Honda for a traffic violation around 8:45 p.m. They say the driver took off.
The fleeing driver lost control of the vehicle at Great Neck Road near the Sunrise Highway overpass, crossed the divider and struck a 2013 Toyota sedan that was traveling southbound.
A woman inside the Toyota at the time was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Honda driver fled the scene on foot and is not yet in custody.
