A Riverhead man who admitted to trying to set his girlfriend on fire while she slept was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison.
As News 12 has reported, 30-year-old Ryan Osborne and his girlfriend got into a fight last May. She decided to stay in a tent in the back of Osborne's Forge Road home.
Osborne lit the tent on fire while the victim was sleeping.
She suffered burns to her face, hands and legs.
