Students experience theater with ‘Inside Broadway’ tour

Students at P.S. 72 experienced a rendition of the musical "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" Monday in Throgs Neck.
Organizers say the play is part of a 10-week "Inside Broadway" tour that brings theater to students in and around the borough.
"It's really real and live and we're present and they're as much a part of the show as we are," says cast member Jeffery Hyman.
Some actors say being a part of theater in school changed their lives. They say they hope the tour is as valuable for the students as it is for them.
"I'll never forget sitting in the theater watching ‘The Prince and Cinderella’ and thinking, ‘This is what I want to do,’" says cast member Evan Walker. "The fact that we get to do that today to kids all over the city is such an amazing feeling."
Organizers say this is the first encounter with theater for many of the students.
