Volunteers help promote food program in Crown Heights

Thirty volunteers took to the streets of Crown Heights Sunday to promote SNAP, the benefits and food program that provides assistance for nearly 1.8 million low-income New Yorkers.
Volunteers from Prepare the World say getting active and giving back is a way to honor Martin Luther King Jr., and to improve the neighborhoods they live and work in.
"His legacy was all about just the people and giving back and the people building up each other, so when we serve that's what we do to our communities," says Geralynn Lane.
