Transit officials are vowing to take action following a recent string of LIRR meltdowns.
MTA Chairman Joe Lhota says he's not happy about the recent delays and cancellations, and he plans to do something about it.
According to Newsday, one of the options on the table is a shake-up of LIRR personnel.
Another involves taking a cue from the MTA's comprehensive subway rescue plan.
Delays and cancellations have marred nearly every rush-hour train over the last two weeks.
LIRR officials have blamed the problems largely on the weather.
