Youngest legislator in Nassau sworn into office

History has been made in Nassau County.
Joshua Lafazan was sworn in last night as Nassau County’s youngest legislator.
The 23-year-old Democrat was praised by local and state politicians at Jericho High School.
Lafazan says his first order of business will be to help tackle the heroin and opioid epidemic.
The new position forced Lafazan to resign from the Syosset School Board, but he says he plans to fight the county law, preventing him from holding both jobs.
