A deputy U.S. marshal from Baldwin was honored today for his actions in the line of duty.
Johnny O'Brien received the Congressional Badge of Bravery.
O’Brien helped save a wounded FDNY firefighter shot twice during an operation to catch a member of the Bloods street gang.
The incident occurred on Staten Island in 2015.
O'Brien was able to pull the firefighter to safety while the suspect continued to fire.
"You don't really think, you just react, you know, and then you think about it afterwards," he said.
