Dog Day Fridays for Dec. 29
This week's dogs are up for adoption at Southampton Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 102 Old Riverhead Road West in Hampton Bays. Their phone number is 631-728-7387
Gypsy is a 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix. Gypsy is a sweet mommy dog looking for a forever family. Gypsy and her puppies came to the shelter from Puerto Rico. After Hurricane Maria, the shelter in Puerto Rico was destroyed, and animals are continuing to be abandoned there. Gypsy would do well in a home with kids over 5 years old. She is described as a friendly, playful and outgoing dog with a sweet disposition. She would love an active owner to go on walks and hikes. This girl loves being outside and exploring the world.
Onyx is a 5-month-old female Labrador retriever mix. Onyx is a playful and loving puppy looking for a home of her own. Onyx and her family were rescued from Puerto Rico. After Hurricane Maria, the shelter was destroyed, and they are still unable to rebuild. Onyx loves people and would do best with kids over 5 years old. She does not love the company of cats and would prefer not to live with them. She would love to live with other dogs.
Sasha is a 3-year-old lady who is super sweet. She is outgoing, social and loves to be pet. Sasha enjoys playing and gets very excited to see her friends. Sasha is house-trained and ready to find her forever family. She was rescued from Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. Sasha is doing great with her training and would excel in a home with continued obedience training. She is smart, loving and could be a superstar.
