Volunteer firefighters used some quick thinking to help save a man's life Sunday morning.
Nicholas Tursi and Vincent Bitsko were heading home from the Garden City Park Fire Department at around 4 a.m. when they saw that a car had crashed into a tree on Shelter Rock Road.
They pulled the driver out and dragged him to safety seconds before the car burst into flames.
The driver was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
There is no word on the man's current condition.
