Today marks one of the busiest holiday travel days for millions of people across the U.S.

Chopper 12 was over the Grand Central Parkway Thursday morning where a new traffic pattern is making the trip to LaGuardia International Airport even more of a nightmare. It's part of the major renovation project taking place at the airport.
Once at the airport, travelers may have to continue their wait. According to Flight Aware, more than two dozen departing flights were delayed Thursday afternoon.
AAA says about 97 million Americans are expected to travel on the roads this season.
On the rails, the Long Island Rail Road is adding 13 additional eastbound trains out of Penn Station Friday afternoon as people kick off their long holiday weekend.
