First responders help deliver baby on side of Centereach road

Officials say a baby was born on the side of the road in Centereach this morning.

Police received a 911 call for an incident on Nicolls Road and Route 25 around 3:45 a.m.

In video obtained by News 12, first responders can be seen assisting in the delivery.

There is no word if the baby was born before they arrived.

News 12 has learned the mother and baby made their way to Stony Brook University Hospital afterward.
