Remembering victims 5 years after Sandy Hook

Thursday marked the fifth anniversary of one of the most somber days in America’s history.

On Dec. 14 in 2012, Adam Lanza committed a deadly mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Lanza shot and killed 20 children and six teachers with an AR-15 rifle.

Sandy Hook has since been knocked down, and a new school was built in its place.
