An Uber driver accused of exposing himself to a passenger Monday had his bail set at $1,000 after being charged with public lewdness. 

The Uber passenger, who asked not to be named, said that her driver Evan Taylor, of Elmont, exposed himself to her during the entirety of her trip to work.

She also took a picture of what she saw to show police. 

According to court documents, the 24-year-old driver told police he was adjusting himself and "must have left it out."

News 12 spoke with Taylor's stepfather, who said he was shocked by the arrest. 

"I am mad," he said. "Why do something like that?"

An Uber spokesperson told News 12 that Taylor is now banned from driving for them. Uber says it does a background check of both criminal and driving records on all the company's drivers.

The passenger says she'll never use Uber again.

Taylor's stepfather extended his apology to the unnamed passenger. 

"I'm sorry madam. I don't know who you are. I don't know what went through his mind," he said.
