AMITYVILLE -

Hundreds of at-risk children got to share in some holiday joy this weekend thank to an Amityville chapel.

The Freedom Chapel has been giving out hundreds of gifts every year for 15 years, while also treating the kids involved to a fun day.

The chapel gave out 700 stockings filled with gifts and also supplied 150 bicycles to those in underprivileged situations.

Organizers say the program hopes to help young people achieve their full potential and provide them with hope.
