A Wyandanch school has won removal from the state's priority list.
LaFrancis Hardiman Elementary school is among 27 schools across the state that have won removal because of rising student achievement.
The improved status means now the school is now in good academic standing.
To gain removal from priority status, schools needed to show academic progress in the 2015-16 school year and the 2016-17 year.
