NY Islanders take part in annual toy shopping event

<p>Once again, players of the New York Islanders visited Toys &quot;R&quot; Us, in Carle Place, to buy gifts for all the children they see at their annual holiday hospital visits.</p>

The Islanders are doing a little holiday shopping this morning, but not for themselves.
News 12 Long Island’s Erin Colton was with the team buying toys for sick kids on Long Island at Toys R Us in Carle Place.
The toys purchased will go to children in local hospitals for the team's annual holiday hospital visits.
A total of eight hospitals will have players personally deliver gifts, sponsored by the Islanders Children's Foundation on Dec. 18.
The hospitals include Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center, Stony Brook University Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, Nassau University Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, NYU Winthrop University Hospital and Hospital for Special Surgery.
