COPIAGUE -

A Copiague man is creating masterpieces using magnifying glasses and the sun.

Joseph Wolkoff, also known as the Burnin’ Man (follow him on Instagram), is the creator of the beautiful artwork.

Wolkoff says he takes a magnifying glass, brings it down to a focal point on the light, and draws like a painter’s paintbrush on wood.

He says one of the magnifying glasses he uses can burn a piece of wood that has been soaking in the bay for 10 years instantly.

Wolkoff also say that he uses smaller lenses, including jewelers lenses and regular magnifying glasses, to create his work.
