The holiday shopping season is officially underway, and News 12 Long Island's gadget guru Andrew Ehinger has great gift ideas for the tech-lovers on your list! He's counting down his top picks for his annual series, The Download: Hot for the Holidays! Here are picks seven through five.
Is there someone in your life who loves to take photos on their smartphones? Well now there's an easy way for them to share and display them with the PhotoSpring. This frame is no ordinary digital photo frame. It has a 10-inch screen, similar to a tablet, so you can move it around. Photos can be uploaded from anywhere using a mobile device or computer, and you can send images in real time to a friend or relative's frame too. Depending on your storage capacity needs, prices start at $149 for the frame.
Coming in at number six is the ShedRain e-Motion Umbrella. It is a high-tech umbrella that would make Mary Poppins jealous. All you need is a push of a button to make it automatically open and close, which is perfect for those times you have your hands full! Prices for the ShedRain e-Motion umbrella start at $99.
Hard-core gamers may want to check out number five on Ehinger's list. Mircosoft's latest gaming system, the XBox One X, is considered the most powering gaming console on the market right now. It features 4K graphics and popular game titles that are a gamers dream. The console also streams 4K movies and other online content, and pricing starts at $500.
