Baldwin man accused of leading police on chase before crash

A Baldwin man is accused of leading police on a chase before crashing into two buildings, triggering a gas leak.
Police say they tried to pull over Rodney Boone for failing to signal near Fenimore Place in Baldwin Saturday.
He allegedly kept driving and crashed into a tire shop on South Franklin Avenue in Hempstead.
News 12 is told Boone then took off again, hit a house and caused a gas leak.
The six people inside the home were not hurt.
Authorities say Boone also had an outstanding warrant for violating a family court order.
