Police are telling shoppers to keep their eyes open this holiday season to help prevent any possible acts of terror.
Police in both Nassau and Suffolk counties say they will be out in full force at shopping centers to protect shoppers.
They say there is no credible threat at this time, but they are urging Long Islanders to be aware of their surroundings, especially in crowded areas.
"If you see something, say something," says acting Nassau Commissioner Patrick Ryder. "If you think you see something, just let us know."
Police say the extra patrols will continue until after Christmas.
