Last preparations begin for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

NEW YORK -

Final preparations are underway for Thursday's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

This year's entertainment includes Jimmy Fallon, Andy Grammer, Smokey Robinson and the Radio City Rockettes.

Wednesday will also see the inflation of the iconic parade balloons in Central Park.

The event kicks off two hours earlier than usual at 1 p.m., with extra security on hand.

The parade has been a New York City tradition dating back to 1924.
