2 hurt, dozens displaced in Hauppauge apartment fire

HAUPPAUGE -

Officials say two people are hurt and several are displaced after an early Saturday morning fire at an apartment complex in Hauppauge.

The incident happened at North Dorado Circle just before 5:30 a.m.

No word on the extent of the victims' injuries, but several people were forced from their apartments and into the cold.

News 12 is told residents had to be rescued from balconies and more than a dozen people may be displaced.

The Red Cross has been called in to help.
