Mattel has reportedly turned down an offer from Hasbro to buy the company.

The merged company would have put brands like GI Joe, Barbie and Nerf under one name.

The old school toy companies have taken a hit as Toys R Us filed for bankruptcy and kids are looking for tech-focused toys.

Twitter faced backlash for verifying the account of the organizer of the Charlottesville rally.

Lastly, analysts are predicting a record-breaking holiday season for Amazon, with almost half of all online shopping happening on Amazon.com. Amazon recently bought Whole Foods and is also slashing prices on turkeys, canned pumpkin and other items ahead of Thanksgiving.
