Police: Man arrested for DWI following crash in Valley Stream

VALLEY STREAM -

A Queens man has been arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a fire arm following a crash in Valley Stream.

According to police, Johnathon Fraser, 24, of Ozone Park, was operating a vehicle eastbound on Sunrise Highway when he turned left onto Green Acres Road West and sideswiped two vehicles. The vehicles were stopped in traffic at a red light in a turn lane.

Police say of the three drivers and four passengers involved in the accident, one passenger was transported to the hospital.

Police say Fraser resisted arrested by refusing to be placed into custody and attempted to flee.

According to police, Fraser was arrested and police found he was in possession of a revolver, ammunition and a substance believed to be crack cocaine.

Fraser has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, DWI and resisting arrest.
