Westbury man accused of falsely reporting vehicle stolen

WESTBURY -

A Westbury man accused of insurance fraud will face a judge today.

Police say Amidullh Popal reported his 2005 Ford Explorer was stolen from in front of his home on Oct. 30.

However, the 26-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and charged with falsely reporting a theft.

There is no word on what happened to the SUV.
