Lupinacci elected as Huntington town supervisor

HUNTINGTON STATION -

For the first time in more than two decades, the town of Huntington has a new supervisor.

Republican Chad Lupinacci defeated Democrat Tracey Edwards and independent candidate Michael Raspantini Tuesday night.

He will take over the position after Frank Petrone's 24-year run.

Lupinacci has been a New York state assemblyman for the past five years.

"We're diving right in," he says. "We're going to make Town Hall more efficient, more business-friendly. We're going to bring transparency, accountability, ethics reforms, bring back jobs to the area and increase the quality of life for Huntingtonians."
